Adoption Timeline

August 2010: Received I171H extension through December 7, 2011 and fingerprints are valid through 9/21/11 (K) and 10/5/11 (B). Yeah!
June 2, 2010: Express mailed packet of information to USCIS (in Texas) in order to receive updated I-171H approval.
May 24, 2010: mailed letter to USCIS in KC requesting fingerprint appointment.
April 28, 2010: mailed Home Study update material to CHI.
November 20, 2008: Received I171H extension through May 2010 and fingerprints are valid through February 2010. Yeah!
November 12, 2008: Went to Kansas City to be fingerprinted by Homeland Security (for the second time).
November 11, 2008: Received updated home study from CHI.
November 3, 2008: Received Police Dept. Criminal Record check. MSHP name search has been received by CHI -- awaiting CAN reports from Social Services. Home study updated October 30.
October 27, 2008: Columbia Police Dept. Criminal Record check; MO Highway Patrol name search and Child Abuse and Neglect records searches (for the 2nd time).
October 23, 2008: Logged in for 14 months. A few weeks back I received the $160 check (for the fingerprints) back...so I guess this one time extension is free. Or I'll owe when we get there.... who knows?!?! Currently updating home study materials.
August 7, 2008: Re-sent application to be re-fingerprinted because I didn't send enough money the first time! Ack!! (It's $80 each rather than $70). *sigh*
July 23, 2008: Application to be re-fingerprinted sent to Department of Homeland Security because our first "record clearance" expires August 23, 2008, 15 months after is was issued
August 23, 2007: Logged In at China Center for Adoption Affairs!
August 4, 2007: Dossier to Children's Hope International
July 14, 2007: Certified documents to Chinese Consulates
June, 2007: Certified, notarized copies of marriage and birth certificates
June 24, 2007: More passport photos to go with dossier
April 27, 2007: Citizenship and Immigration Application for Advanced Processing to Adopt and Orphan (I600A)
April 5, 2007: Paid for 2nd half Home Study and Post Placement Visit fees (first half is paid for in Nov, 2006)
January 3, 2007: Home Study documents overnighted to CHI
December 29, 2006: Physicals
November 25, 2006: MO State Highway Patrol name search
November 14, 2006: Sent Adoption Agreement/Homestudy-Post Placement Agreement to CHI
November 6, 2006: Turned in Passport Applications
November 2, 2006: No Criminal Record Report
November, 2006: Obtained birth certificates
October 30, 2006: Sent in Application to CHI
